A Decade of Empowering Voters: New Retrospective Video Premieres
RALEIGH - A new video recalls a decade of service and looks to a future of informing and engaging citizens by the N.C. Center for Voter Education.
The retrospective premiered at a Nov. 3 event celebrating the Center’s 10th anniversary. In attendance at the event were friends and supporters of the organization, including the Center’s founding president, former U.S. Sen. Robert Morgan, and its founding executive director, state Rep. Chris Heagarty.
“The Center could not have reached this 10-year milestone without the support of people like Robert Morgan and Chris Heagarty, along with countless other elected officials and citizens across the state who believe in protecting and strengthening our democracy,” said Damon Circosta, current executive director of the Center. “Recalling our past successes inspires us as we move into our next decade of working to empower all North Carolina voters.”
